Best Time To Visit

We are scheduled to visit Connecticut, RI and Massachusetts from October 17-24 to view the fall foliage. I'm concerned we'll be a bit late to see the best showing of changing leaves. In your opinion should we reschedule to a week earlier?

I answered in the other discussion, please don't double post hoping to get an answer somewhere. I'm sure one of us will get to it. Check the other but yes those dates SHOULD be good if Mother Nature is nice to us...
