Help with short trip from Boston
« on: October 04, 2017, 02:31:45 PM »
Wondering if someone would please help me with planning a short fall foliage trip starting in Boston on October 19th. We have reservations on Cape Cod starting October 21st. Are there any short drives (one overnight) that would make sense? I am unfamiliar with New England so I am hoping someone with some expertise will help me out. Thanks so much in advance.

The Cape is a vacation all in itself.
The trick to the cape is learning to enjoy a part of the day at the beach and a part looking through meadows and woodlands in the late afternoon light. The warm afternoon light does wonders for the oak leaves giving the leaves a very rich warm red and orange color.

You could leave the cape but I would stay there this year.

As of today the 30th the color probably got nice down there but overall I don't think they really developed as much as I would like but if you have read any of my work then you know that you have to have a backup plan if the color fails to show up when you show up...
